Maruti Suzuki sales Feb 2025 — Marginal growth reported

Amid all automakers announcing their February 2025 sales figures, market leader Maruti Suzuki has also come out with its numbers. MSIL sold 1,60,791 passenger vehicles in the domestic market in Feb’25, which was more or less identical to the number of vehicles sold in Feb’24. Please note that the sales numbers stated above reflect the number of units dispatched to dealers and they might vary from the actual number of units sold by dealerships. Furthermore, these numbers include sales of both passenger vehicles as well as Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV). Maruti Suzuki has just one LCV on sale currently, the Maruti Suzuki Super Carry. This also includes the vehicles sold by MSIL to other OEMs, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited in this case. 

MoM and YoY analysis

With reference to the data above, Maruti Suzuki India Limited saw a negative growth of 6% when compared to the sales numbers from the previous month. But, year-on-year sales grew by 1% to 1,99,400 units. While domestic sales rose this year, exports took a hit.

Maruti Suzuki passenger vehicle domestic sales 

In the month of February 2025, MSIL sold 1,60,791 cars and SUVs in the Indian market, which indicated a stagnant growth as compared to 1,60,271 units sold in the same month last year. The Maruti Ciaz sales in India doubled, but the car is on its way to extinction. Sales of SUVs grew marginally. Maruti has not yet released individual model-wise sales figures.
