Maruti Suzuki Eeco completes 15 years of sales — Best selling van in India!

Maruti Suzuki is the king of sales in the Indian market, be it any segment that it chooses to enter. The carmaker also happens to make India’s best selling van — Maruti Eeco — which has also just completed 15 years of sales in India. It is available in multiple configurations, each suited for different customer needs. Despite the aging factor, Maruti continues to sell the Eeco in handsome numbers owing to its stellar pricing and the lack of competition in the market.

15 years of sales

The Eeco was first introduced in the country back in 2010, and Maruti Suzuki is celebrating 15 years of sales of the MPV this year. Over the span of these 15 years, MSIL has sold over 12.5 lakh units of the Eeco across the country. Even today, monthly sales of the Eeco van sit over the 10,000 unit mark.

The current generation of the Eeco comes powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-Series petrol engine that comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Eeco price in India

The Maruti Eeco starting price in India sits at Rs 5.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and goes up till Rs 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Note that these prices are for the 5-seater and 7-seater petrol as well as CNG variants, and do not include the prices of special-purpose vans such as ambulances.
