The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara India launch was expected to take place sometime around March-April 2025. But Maruti has delayed the same and the Maruti e Vitara launch in India will now happen in September 2025, as has been confirmed by the carmaker. Maruti e Vitara India launch timeline

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that the Maruti e Vitara deliveries in India will begin before September-end this year. The electric SUV will be exclusively manufactured at the carmaker’s plant in Gujarat, which was previously owned by Suzuki Corporation, but now comes under MSIL as part of a recent development. Toyota’s version of the e Vitara — Toyota Urban Cruiser EV — shall be launched after Maruti’s car.

Expected Maruti Suzuki e Vitara price in India

We expect the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara to be priced northwards of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), making it brush shoulders with other electric SUVs in India such as the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, Mahindra XEV 9e, Hyundai Creta Electric, and the upcoming Tata Harrier EV.

Maruti e Vitara dimensions and design

The e Vitara takes a huge leap in aspects of design and styling, asserting itself to be looked upon and appreciated. It gets a rather muscular styling that aims at justifying the ‘SUV’ tag. There’s a connected lightbar at the rear and octagonal headlights, joined together by a closed grille. The brand new alloy wheel design complements the rest of the car.

Suzuki e Vitara interior and features

The cabin of the e Vitara looks a lot more premium than other Maruti cars in India. There’s the usual dual-screen setup on the dashboard, along with a new flat-bottom steering wheel. The AC vents have been placed in a vertical fashion, and there are physical buttons for the HVAC controls. The seats get a mix of fabric and leatherette treatment.
