Taxation rules in India impose a GST rate of 29% on petrol vehicles with engines under 1.2L. However, engines exceeding this capacity, like the Brezza’s 1.5L engine, attract a higher tax rate of 43% for subcompact models. This engine, which debuted with the next-generation Swift, produces 82PS of power and 112Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT. However, in the Brezza, the turbo petrol engine may be tuned slightly higher for improved performance.

Where does the Maruti Suzuki Brezza price stand right now?

As of now, the base price of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza starts at Rs 8.34 lakh, with the CNG variant priced from Rs 9.29 lakh.
