The Maruti Jimny is the successor to what we know as the Maruti Gypsy in India. It is a proper off-roader from the house of the Japanese carmaker, and a direct rival to SUVs like the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha. The India-spec Jimny comes powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that puts out 105PS of maximum power and 134Nm of peak torque.

Adhering to the complaints from customers, Maruti Suzuki has issued a service bulletin wherein the carmaker has started individually contacting Jimny owners in order to carry out an inspection and address the issue subsequently. This involves replacing the king pin assembly and/or the front disc brakes with no cost to the customer. It is to be noted that the said redressal shall only be carried out free of cost if the SUV has been run on stock tyres and no modifications have been made to the tyres.
