Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater launch timeline 

Scheduled to be launched in the country in the year 2025, the upcoming Grand Vitara 7-seater will sit above the Grand Vitara, which recently received a small model year update. As revealed by multiple spy shots, we expect the Grand Vitara 7-seater to carry a considerable amount of design changes over the current Grand Vitara.

Upcoming Grand Vitara 7-seater design

The Grand Vitara 7-seater is said to take heavy inspiration from the design of the upcoming electric e Vitara. Multiple spy shots reveal a reworked front fascia featuring a tweaked radiator, new LED DRLs and headlights up front. Around the side, since it’s going to be a 3-row SUV, we expect its dimensions to grow in terms of length and wheelbase, to accommodate additional seating. Around the back, it is likely to get an elongated rear overhang and updated tail lights with a connected light bar.

7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara features

Like the updated Grand Vitara, the upcoming 7-seater Grand Vitara features will also be loaded. Its key features include a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, premium sound system, surround view camera, head-up display, 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a lot more. Furthermore, it could also feature charging ports and AC vents for the third row passengers.

7-seater Grand Vitara engine options

The upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater engine options are likely to be carried over from the Grand Vitara. The current Grand Vitara comes with two engine options — 1.5-litre normal petrol engine that comes mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol engine that comes exclusively with the e-CVT transmission. The Grand Vitara also offers the option of an AWD with the 1.5-litre petrol engine but that’s unlikely to be offered with the Grand Vitara 7-seater.

Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater expected price

It is obvious that the Grand Vitara 7-seater will cost considerably more than the Grand Vitara. We expect Maruti Suzuki to charge around Rs 60,000 to Rs 1 lakh more for the 7-seater Grand Vitara over the current Grand Vitara. The recently updated Maruti Grand Vitara currently retails between Rs 11.42 lakh and Rs 20.68 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
