Maruti Dzire-Rivalling 2024 Honda Amaze New-Gen Launching This Festive Season

Good news for Honda lovers as this year the company is gearing up to launch the new-gen 2024 Honda Amaze in India around the festive season this year. This completely new model of Amaze is scheduled for launch later this year and will debut with a host of changes inside and outside. Based on the same platform as the City, the new Honda Amaze compact sedan is likely to retain the same powertrain options. New-Gen Honda Amaze 2024: What Will Be New?

It is no secret that Honda India is currently working a new generation model of Amaze compact sedan. It is one of the most popular Honda cars in India. However, the last iteration of Amaze was launched more than 6 years ago in India and hence the car is due for a thorough update. In fact, its direct rival Maruti Suzuki Dzire will also be receiving a new-gen update in the coming months. 

The new-gen Amaze is said to be based on a brand-new platform. This architecture is believed to be a tailored version of the City sedan. Moreover, this will lead to a thorough update in its design and the way it looks currently. But, the dimensions of the new Amaze will not exceed 4m mark due to the tax saving barrier. All-in-all, the new Amaze will be more identical to the design of the current lineup. We expect it to get sharp & clean body lines with futuristic LED lights.

Engine And Gearbox

Underneath its bonnet, it’ll continue using the tried and tested 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The same engine is used in the current iteration of Amaze and makes a peak power output of 90hp and a peak torque of 110Nm. Honda offers this engine with an option of either a 5-speed manual and a CVT auto gearbox. With the new-gen Amaze, this powertrain is likely to remain unchanged. As Japanese makers are known for slow shifts and upgrades, the engine of the new Amaze is the least expected part to get an update.

2024 New-Gen Amaze Launch Date And Price

Multiple online reports and rumours on various social media platforms hints that the new Amaze will debut by the end of 2024. There is a great possibility that it will be launched before Diwali festive season. The new-gen Honda Amaze 2024 price is also expected to increase with the new features and a complete makeover. We suspect that it’ll be positioned around Rs 8-12 lakh depending on the variant chosen.
