Maruti Alto K10 launched with 6 airbags as standard — Updated price inside

Following the footsteps of the Celerio that recently received 6 airbags as standard, it is now the Maruti Alto K10 that has received the inclusion of 6 airbags as standard across all variants, as we revealed in our exclusive story last week. Maruti Suzuki has introduced 6 airbags in the Alto K10 as a standard feature. Needless to say, this change has resulted in bumping up the prices of the Alto K10 across the range. In addition to the inclusion of 6 airbags, the Alto K10 has also received 3-point seatbelts for all passengers. It is worth mentioning that the Alto K10 already offers electronic stability control as standard across the range along with other mandatory safety features like dual airbags and rear parking sensors to name a few.

With the introduction of 6 airbags and 3-point seatbelts as standard across the range, the Alto K10 price has seen a bump of up to Rs 16,000. Apart from these safety features, there are no features changes to the package to keep the costs in check, since the Alto K10 is among the most affordable cars on sale in the Indian market.

The Maruti Alto K10 comes with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 67PS of power @ 5500rpm and 89Nm of torque @ 3500rpm. Its petrol engine comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission. Buyers looking for superior fuel efficiency also get the option to choose the Alto K10 CNG that offers a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 33.85kmpkg compared to the petrol’s 24.90kmpl.
