Mahindra XUV700 2-Lakh Units Milestone: Why Is It So Popular?
Launched back in August 2021, the XUV700 has been in extreme demand ever since. All thanks to its value-for-money tag, the XUV700 offers a plethora of features and variants to choose from. Crossing 2-lakh production units in under 33 months is a feat of its own. The premium mid-size SUV buyers are attracted to the XUV700 because of its massive road presence and spacious cabin. Mahindra has tuned the suspension and chassis for utmost comfort for big families.

What makes the deal better is an attractive price which helps it overlap with multiple other SUVs including the Hyundai Creta. For a quick reference, the Hyundai Creta price in India starts from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hence, a lot of buyers tend to shift towards the XUV700.
Catering to this milestone, Mahindra has also introduced two new Mahindra XUV700 colours: Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. While the Deep Forest is already offered on the Scorpio N, the Burnt Sienna colour is specific to the XUV700 only. Moreover, buyers can now opt for a newly added AX5 Select variant as well, which is tailor-made for consumers wanting features within a budget constraint. The XUV700 comes with two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol that makes 200bhp of peak power, and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that develops 185bhp of peak power. Both of the engine options are mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Some primary rivals of the XUV700 in India are Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.
