With the breathtaking launch of the much-anticipated Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e, these EVs have captivated people's hearts, with prices starting at Rs 21.90 lakh and Rs 18.90 lakh respectively. 

If you’re curious about the booking timeline, the pre-reservation window for these EVs will open in January 2025. As for the Deliveries, it is said to begin between February and March 2025. Let’s dive further into what makes the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e such standout EV launches in the segment.

Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6e dimensions

The Mahindra BE 6e belongs to the Born Electric (BE) sub-brand, while the Mahindra XEV 9e stands as the flagship EV under the newly introduced XEV sub-brand. Luckily, Mahindra has stayed true to the concept designs it showcased for these respective EVs, as the futuristic and electric vibe is clearly present in them.

The Mahindra XEV 9e dimensions stretch to 4,790 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,690 mm in height. To back your luggage space, it offers a boot space of 663 litres. Meanwhile, the Mahindra BE 6e measures 4,371 mm in length, 1,907 mm in width, and 1,627 mm in height, with a boot space of 455 litres. Both models come with the same wheelbase of 2,775 mm and a ground clearance of 207 mm.

New Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6e features & safety tech

Inside, the Mahindra XEV 9e features a stunning 12.3-inch connected triple screen, while the Mahindra BE 6e is equipped with a dual-connected screen setup for the digital cockpit and infotainment system. 

Both EVs also include a twin-spoke steering wheel,16-speaker audio system, MAIA, head-up display, panoramic sunroof with a light-up feature, in-car screens for rear passengers, seven airbags, 360-degree camera, automatic parking, and Level 2+ ADAS. The ADAS system utilizes radar, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras for enhanced safety coverage.

2025 Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6e battery specs

Talking about the battery, power, range, and more, the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e showcase impressive specifications for potential buyers. Both models share Mahindra’s advanced INGLO platform, resulting in similar battery specifications. These EVs are available with two battery options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Furthermore, both SUVs come with a rear mounted electric motor that delivers up to 286PS of power and 380Nm of peak torque.

In terms of range, the XEV 9e offers a claimed range of 656 km, while the BE 6e delivers an impressive 682 km. How fast can they charge? Using a 175 kW DC fast charger, these EVs can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Impressive, right? Additionally, they can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds.
