Mahindra Thar ROXX waiting period hits 3 months before official bookings begin

Mahindra Thar has always been on the top of the list for many enthusiasts, known for its strong fanbase and undeniable popularity. Building on this success, the new Mahindra Thar ROXX, is set to carry forward the legacy of the Thar brand. And even before the official bookings begin, the waiting period for this new model has already stretched up to 3 months. How long is the Thar ROXX waiting period?

In cities like Chennai, Pune, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad, the waiting time has already stretched to 12 weeks. In New Delhi and Bengaluru, it's up to 8 weeks, while in Mumbai, it ranges between 6 to 8 weeks. Once the Mahindra Thar ROXX official bookings open, the waiting period will naturally increase even further.

Thar ROXX bookings, delivery, & test drives

The official bookings for the Mahindra ROXX are set to start on October 3, 2024. However, some select dealerships have already started accepting unofficial bookings with a token amount of Rs 21,000. As for the deliveries, they are expected to begin on October 12, 2024, though the delivery time may vary depending on the variant you choose.

If you're not in a hurry to book right away and prefer to test drive the ROXX first, you're in luck! Test drives are already available at Mahindra showrooms starting from September 14, 2024, giving you a chance to experience the vehicle before making your decision.

Under the hood

The Mahindra Thar ROXX comes with two engine options — a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine delivers 162PS and 330Nm with a 6-speed manual, and 177PS and 380Nm with a 6-speed automatic. The diesel engine produces 152PS and 330Nm with a manual, and 175PS and 370Nm with the automatic. Both engines come standard with RWD, while 4WD is also available on select diesel variants.
