Mahindra Thar ROXX Panoramic Sunroof Confirmed In Teaser

Mahindra has been rolling out teasers for the new Thar ROXX every passing day, revealing new details. A new teaser now confirms the presence of a dual-pane panoramic sunroof in the Thar ROXX. That’s right, the Mahindra Thar ROXX will offer a panoramic sunroof,  making it the third Mahindra SUV to offer this loved feature.

Mahindra Thar ROXX To Offer Panoramic Sunroof

In the new age cars, we get to see a lot of features that may necessarily not serve a utility but surely uplift the premiumness. The sunroof is one such feature. While previously, users were happy with having a single-pane sunroof, nowadays, having a dual-pane panoramic sunroof is an absolute necessity, especially in the mid-size SUV segment. So much so that now even the Mahindra Thar, which is otherwise bound to be a rugged 4X4 SUV, has to offer a panoramic sunroof in order to lure new-age customers. The new video reveals a large panoramic glass roof among other details inside the cabin.

Mahindra Thar ROXX New Features

In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the new teaser also reveals a large touchscreen infotainment system and leatherette seat upholstery. The Thar 3-door comes with a small 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system but the bigger Thar ROXX is likely to feature a larger and more-advanced 10.25-inch touchscreen unit. The new infotainment system is likely to feature AdrenoX connected car tech as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, the Thar ROXX will also feature white leatherette upholstery, which may not be the most sensible choice for an offroad but should enhance the premium quotient.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door Engine Options

Just like the Thar 3-door, the new 2024 Mahindra Thar ROXX is expected to get three engine options — a 1.5-litre diesel, a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol engine. Needless to say, the buyers will have an option of manual and automatic gearboxes to choose from. Likewise, multiple 5-door Mahindra Thar ROXX RWD variants will also be on offer.

Mahindra Thar ROXX Launch Date And Expected Price

The Mahindra Thar ROXX launch is set to take place on August 15, 2024, four years after the launch of the Thar 3-door. The Mahindra Thar 3 door price starts from Rs 11.35 lakh and goes all the way up to 17.60 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. Based on the starting price of the Mahindra Thar, we expect the Mahindra Thar ROXX price to start from Rs 14 lakh and go all the way up to 20 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.
