Mahindra October 2024 sales in India — Records highest-ever SUV sales

Mahindra had already been seeing green lines on the sales charts, and the festive season has made things more cheerful for the stakeholders. Mahindra has recorded its highest-ever SUV sales last month, witnessing a 25% increase in domestic sales. While exports also rose by a big margin, certain segments of commercial vehicles saw a decline in sales as well. Here’s an analysis of the latest Mahindra October 2024 sales in India.

MoM and YoY analysis
Mahindra Auto saw a 10% month-on-month growth, when both domestic and international sales are accounted for. Both domestic and international sales grew by a similar percentage. There was a much higher growth experienced when compared to the same month last year, with total sales rising by 19.8%. Exports almost doubled, from 1,854 units in October 2023 to 3,506 units in October 2024. Domestic sales grew from 78,825 units to 93,142 units.
Mahindra passenger vehicle sales
Talking solely about Mahindra’s passenger vehicles, which is constituted by an array of SUVs like the Scorpio N and Thar Roxx, year-on-year growth stood at 25%. Mahindra sold 54,504 SUVs in India this October against 43,708 sold in the same period in 2023. Exports accounted for another 1,067 units of passenger vehicle sales.

Mahindra commercial vehicle sales
Speaking of the domestic market, Mahindra saw a 9.7% growth when accounting for the sales of Light Commercial Vehicles, Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles, as well as 3-wheelers, both ICE and electric. Sales of LCV < 2T continued to fall this month as well, and the sales of LCV > 3.5T + MHCV also witnessed a slight decline. Rest of the segments witnessed good growth numbers.
