To expand its network and sales, Lexus, the premium branch of Toyota, has introduced a new warranty scheme for Lexus owners in India. As per the new scheme, all of the Lexus cars will now be sold with a standard warranty of 8-year/1,60,000 km. Earlier, this warranty was limited to a standard 3-year/1,00,000 km coverage. Lexus New Warranty Scheme Details
Introduced back in 2017, Lexus has been one of the most desirable luxury brands among premium customers. However, Lexus has taken the ‘peace of mind’ game further by introducing a new warranty scheme. Earlier, all cars by Lexus India were sold with a standard 1 lakh kilometres or 3-year (whichever comes earlier) warranty. Now, this has been expanded up to 8 years and 1.6 lakh kilometres.

On this expansion, Mr Tanmay Bhattacharya, Executive Vice President, Lexus India said, “We are thrilled to announce our new warranty initiative which represents our strong commitment to the Indian market. In this new era where consumers are more conscious about the value proposition of their purchases, we are constantly enhancing our services to exceed guests’ expectations.”

For a quick reference, the competition brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW offer a 3-year and a 2-year standard warranty, respectively.
