Kia India has recently announced significant changes to the 2024 Kia Sonet. The Kia Sonet turbo petrol price now starts under Rs 10 lakh, making it a very compelling proposition. In addition, the Sonet also receives a new GTX variant, bringing high-end features at a relatively affordable price. The lower variants also receive new features from the higher trims of the sub-compact SUV.
Kia Sonet Turbo Petrol Price Starts From Under Rs 10 Lakh
The Kia Sonet is back with a sub-10 lakh turbo petrol variant, which was earlier missing in its lineup. The new Kia Sonet HTK iMT variant with the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is priced at Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The newly introduced variant offers the convenience of the iMT transmission along with the power of the turbo petrol engine at an affordable price point. Since the HTK variant price falls under Rs 10 lakh, it will attract lesser tax impositions in some states, thereby further lowering the on-road price.

Kia Sonet GTX Variant Launched
Kia India also launched the new Sonet GTX — a more affordable variant under the GT Line. Sitting between the HTX+ and GTX+ variants, the new Sonet GTX offers a few interesting features at an attractive price point. These features include a 360-degree parking camera, front leatherette ventilated seats, paddle shifters, full-colour LCD display, smart air purifier and semi-powered driver’s seat. It is worth mentioning that the Sonet offers power adjustment for the fore-and-aft and backrest recline whereas the height adjustment requires manual effort.

Available with petrol and diesel automatic variants, the Kia Sonet GTX comes at Rs 13.71 lakh and 14.56 lakh (ex-showroom), New Delhi, respectively. The newly launched GTX variant of the Sonet sits between its HTX+ and GTX+ variants.

In addition to the new variants, Kia India has also added new features to the existing variants of the Sonet. The Sonet HTE, HTE(O), HTK(O) and HTK+ variants get ISOFIX child seat anchorages. The HTK(O) and HTK+ variants also get rear wiper with washer while the HTK+ variant now also offers LED headlights. Moving to the HTX variant, it now also offers wireless smartphone charger, rear wiper and washer and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Lastly, the new Kia Sonet X-Line is now also available with the Aurora Black Pearl colour option.
