Kia India has achieved notable growth in June 2024, recording a year-on-year (Y-o-Y) increase of 9.8% with total sales of 21,300 units.  The Korean carmaker continues to dominate the Indian market with its feature-rich, practical, and aggressive portfolio including the recently launched Kia Sonet. While the new 2024 Sonet facelift comfortably became the best-selling Kia car in India, the Seltos and the Carens stood in the second and third spots.

 

Kia India Monthly Sales Update - 21,300 Units Sold In June 2024

 

As per the official report released by Kia, the Korean carmaker sold a total of 21,300 units in June 2024 and has registered a 9.8% Y-o-Y growth this month. For a quick reference, the brand sold 19,391 units in June last year. The newly launched Kia Sonet emerged as the best-selling Kia car this month and recorded total sales of 9,816 units.

With a total contribution of 43%, the Kia Sonet is currently positioned as one of the most feature-rich cars in its class and is offered with three powertrain options including an extremely fuel-efficient 1.5-litre diesel motor. The Seltos on the other hand stood in the second spot with a total contribution of 32% in the total sales. The Carens trailed closely behind with 25% contribution to the total sales figures.

Speaking about the recent sales performance, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar – Senior Vice President and National Head Sales & Marketing said, "We have observed a healthy month-on-month sales growth in H1 2024, averaging over 21,000 units per month. Our superior product offerings have consistently attracted customers to our showrooms throughout the year, maintaining a strong sales position. We are committed to sustaining this positive trend for the remainder of the year through network expansion and by adding value to our customers' aspirations."

Furthermore, Kia India has also observed a significant increase in international demand for its 'Make in India' vehicles and exported a total of 3,206 units to overseas markets. In a recent milestone, Kia India surpassed the 2,50,000 export mark and has delivered Made-In-India Kia cars to over 100 markets from its Anantapur plant.
