Kia is also set to export more units across select countries in the coming months. Kia India's export performance & future outlook
For both those familiar and unfamiliar with the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) method, it refers to the process where vehicle parts are shipped from suppliers worldwide and then assembled at a local plant in the importing country. Kia has reached a significant milestone of exporting 1 lakh CKD units, making up 50% of the company’s total CKD exports globally.
With a total of 3.67 lakh units exported so far, Kia continues to grow. In 2024, over 38,000 CKD units are expected to be exported to markets in Uzbekistan, Ecuador, and Vietnam. Joonsu Cho, Kia's Chief Sales Officer, has shared plans to expand CKD exports to the Middle East and Africa, aiming to double the export volume by 2030.
