Kia EV9 Three-Row Electric SUV India Launch Date Confirmed?

As confirmed earlier by Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Vice President & Head of Marketing & Sales, Kia India, the South Korean automaker had plans to launch the Kia EV9 in India in the calendar year 2024. Recent reports suggest that Kia might launch the EV9 on the third of October. Read ahead to know more about this upcoming three-row electric SUV from Kia.

Kia EV9 - What Is It?

Kia EV9 is an all-electric full-size family SUV that made its global debut last year and has driven to the good books of editors around the globe. Based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform (Electric Global Modular Platform), which also underpins cars such as Kia EV6 and Ioniq 5, the Kia EV9 measures 5,010mm in length, 1,980mm in width, 1,755mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,100mm. The GT Line is 5mm longer and 25mm taller. 

Kia EV9 Battery, Motors And Range

The Kia EV9 comes with two powertrain options — a rear-wheel drive powertrain with an electric motor producing 204PS and 350Nm of torque, and an all-wheel drive powertrain with two electric motors generating 385PS and 700Nm of peak torque. Both the powertrains get a 99.8kWh battery. The rear-wheel drive variants get a claimed range of 501 kilometres and the all-wheel drive variants get a claimed range of 454 kilometres.

Kia EV9 Key Features

The Kia EV9 gets tons of features, out of which some notable ones are first and second row heated and ventilated seats, three-zone automatic climate control, 14-speaker Meridian sound system, 180-degree rotating second row seats, and ADAS. 

Kia EV9 India Launch 

As stated before, Kia India is likely to launch the all-electric Kia EV9 on October 3, 2024. This should soon be followed by the new Kia Carnival. Globally, the Kia EV9 gets a wide variety of interior and exterior colour options — nine exterior and six interior configurations to be specific.
