Kia EV9

Unofficial pre-launch bookings for the much-anticipated Kia EV9 have quietly begun at select dealerships, with an initial token amount of Rs 10 lakh. This electric SUV is set to be available through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route, which means it will be fully imported rather than locally assembled. If you're wondering about delivery timelines, the first batch is expected to roll out in March 2025, giving early adopters something to look forward to next year. This electric SUV will come in a single GT-Line variant and offer five exterior colour options: Snow White Pearl, Ocean Blue, Pebble Gray, Panthera Metal, and Aurora Black Pearl. Inside, you'll have a choice between two seat upholstery options: White & Black or Brown & Black, adding to its premium feel.

The Kia EV9 will feature a powerful 99.8 kWh battery, delivering an impressive 384.23PS of power and 700Nm of torque. It will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, making it quite a performer. According to the ARAI, the claimed range will be around 561 km, and it will come with all-wheel drive (AWD) for enhanced traction. For quick charging, the EV9 will support DC Fast Charging, allowing it to go from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

When it comes to pricing, the EV9 is expected to be positioned between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 1.15 crore. It will take on competitors like the Volvo EX90, Audi Q8 e-tron, BMW iX, Lexus RX, and others in the luxury EV space.
