Kia India has announced a recall for its Kia EV6 model due to a potential issue with the integrated charging control unit (ICCU). This voluntary recall affects a total of 1,380 units of the model. Last year, in July, Kia had already recalled 1,138 units over a similar potential fault with the car's ICCU. Kia EV 6 Recall In India — ICCU Failure

The potential issue with the ICCU in the Kia EV6 may affect the performance of the 12V auxiliary battery in both the 2WD and 4WD variants of the affected vehicles. The impacted units were manufactured between March 3, 2022, and April 14, 2023.

 

Fortunately, the company has already begun reaching out to affected owners. Additionally, if customers are concerned, they can contact an authorized Kia dealership for an inspection.

At the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, Kia India showcased the Kia EV6 facelift. While the EV has been unveiled, its official launch is expected to happen in the first half of this year, with the Kia EV6 facelift price set to be announced in March 2025.

 

The Kia EV6 facelift will be available in the top-spec GT Line AWD variant. It will come with a larger 84kWh battery pack paired with dual motors. These motors will deliver a power output of 325PS and a torque of 605Nm. The vehicle will also offer a certified range of 650+ km on a single charge, as per ARAI.
