Kia cars September 2024 sales – Records 17.5% growth

Unlike its sister-brand Hyundai, Kia has recorded an impressive growth trend in the month of September 2024, both year-on-year and month-on-month. Net growth stood at 17.5% when compared to September 2023 with an increase in sales of all Kia cars in India except the Kia EV6. Here’s a detailed report on Kia cars September 2024 sales analysis.

Year-on-year performance

Kia India sold 3,501 more vehicles in September 2024 than it did in the same month last year, translating to a growth of 17.5%. It sold 23,523 cars and SUVs in September 2024 against 20,022 sold in September 2023. 

Month-on-month performance

Kia India sold 23,523 units in September 2024 as compared to 22,523 units in August 2024. This translates to a growth of 1,000 units or 4.4%.

Please note that the sales numbers stated above reflect the number of units dispatched to dealers and they might vary from the actual number of units sold by dealerships. 

Sales distribution between Kia cars in India

Out of the 23,523 cars and SUVs sold last month, sales of 10,335 units came from the Kia Sonet, 6,959 from the Kia Seltos, 6,217 from the Kia Carens, and the remaining 12 from the all-electric Kia EV6.

New Kia Carnival and Kia EV9

Kia has launched two premium products for the Indian market on October 3, 2024 — the updated Kia Carnival and the all-new Kia EV9. The new Kia Carnival bookings stood at 2,796 units on the date of the launch itself, and the price for the Limousine Plus variant has been kept at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Kia EV9 is an all-electric full-size family SUV that is priced at Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Kia believes that there is a sizable market for premium SUVs above the one crore rupees bracket and the EV9 is set to cater to that audience.
