Outline

Just like other automakers such as Maruti Suzuki, Audi, Mahindra, and Toyota, Kia India has also announced a price hike for its cars, which will take effect from January 1, 2025. The company cited several unfavourable factors, including rising commodity prices, increased input costs, and other economic pressures, as the reasons behind this decision. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming Kia car price hike to understand the finer details behind this decision.

How much will Kia car prices be hiked? According to an official announcement from Kia Motors, the price hike will be up to 2%. While this isn’t as high as the hikes from other carmakers, who are raising prices by up to 3% to 4% for the upcoming year, Kia’s increase still seems more reasonable.

As stated by Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing at Kia India, “Due to the persistent rise in commodity prices, unfavourable exchange rates, and increased input costs, a necessary price adjustment has become unavoidable.”

If you feel your budget is a bit tight for buying a new Kia car, especially with the price hike coming, you might want to consider looking at second-hand Kia cars. This option can help you stay within your budget while still getting the car you need.
