A not-so-happy news for Jaguar fans in India has surfaced. The electric SUV I-Pace has been delisted from the company’s India website. While there is no official announcement, this certainly marks the I-Pace’s end in India. Read below the complete details on why the I-Pace failed in India.
Jaguar I-Pace Delisted In India: What Went Wrong?
It appears that Jaguar has finally pulled the plug on its I-Pace electric SUV. The I-Pace was essentially an electric version of the F-Pace. However, with its chiselled panels and typical Jaguar design, it somehow did not find a noticeable number of customers. Jaguar had introduced the I-Pace in India back in 2021. Ever since the launch, it struggled with the poor sales numbers. In fact, the sales records hinted that luxury electric car buyers were preferring rival brands rather than Jaguar. Maybe, the old-looking cabin and lack of substantial changes to its design, proved to be its killer.

The I-Pace came equipped with features like an all-LED lighting, 19-inch alloy wheels, a coupe-like roof design with a spoiler, flush-type door handles, adaptive cruise control, powered boot, 360-degree camera, sporty leather upholstery, touch controls for AC, and a Meridian sound system. Powering the I-Pace was a 90kWh battery pack and dual electric motors producing peak power of 389bhp and a peak torque of 696Nm. In addition, the I-Pace offered a WLTP-claimed driving range of 470 km per charge.

The last recorded price of Jaguar I-Pace in India, before the delisting on the official website, was Rs 1.45 crore. It competed with the Audi e-Tron and Mercedes-Benz EQE in India. Since the I-Pace is gone, the Jaguar India line-up only includes the F-Pace SUV, since the XF sedan and F-Type coupe were also discontinued recently. With that being said, Jaguar is gearing up for a new identity of all-electric carmaker, with the first model set to be launched in 2025.
