Is the Ford Everest coming to India following its launch in Argentina?

The Ford Endeavour has been getting more love after Ford’s exit from India than the time when it was sold in the country. There are reports right, left and centre, of the American carmaker planning a return to India with the new Endeavour, a.k.a., the Everest. And news is that the SUV has just been launched in Argentina. Here’s more information about the same.

Ford Endeavour 

The Endeavour, known overseas as the Ford Everest, is the carmaker’s D-segment SUV that goes against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and other such SUVs in India. It was discontinued in the country as the carmaker wrapped up its operations here.

Ford Everest Argentina launch

Ford has just launched the 2025 Ford Everest in Argentina, which is already on sale in certain other markets such as Australia and the Middle East, albeit with varied powertrain options. In Argentina, the new Ford Everest comes equipped with a 2.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 304PS of maximum power and 446Nm of peak torque.

Ford Everest diesel India launch?

There have been reports about a prospective launch of the latest generation Ford Everest in India, though the same is unlikely at the moment. If launched, the Everest will come in as a CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit), which would cause it to be priced significantly higher than the previous model. Thus, to justify the bump in cost, Ford might launch the Endeavour with a more powerful 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine that is available in certain global markets. This will further elevate the Everest’s desirability quotient.

The Ford Everest comes packed with plenty of features such as 9 airbags, ventilated and heated seats, 360-degree cameras, an ADAS suite, automatic wipers, ISOFIX child seat mounts, wireless connectivity, and more.

Ford’s return to India
