Hyundai Inster Electric SUV Walkaround - Have A Closer Look!
- 1Hyundai Inster might be Hyundai’s entry-level SUV in India
- 2Hyundai Inster is based on the Hyundai Casper
- 3The Inster will get two powertrain options
Hyundai Inster, Hyundai’s upcoming electric SUV based on the Hyundai Casper, was recently revealed ahead of its official debut. The Inster is likely to be Hyundai’s entry-level EV in the country. Fully Charged Show did a Hyundai Inster walkaround last week. Take a look at some of the clips from the walkaround.
Hyundai Inster Exterior
The Hyundai Inster has some interesting elements on the exterior. The functional air dams are one such functional design element, which open when the battery needs some additional cooling. The Inster’s charging port is placed on the front facade of the car. There are plenty of pixelated elements on the front as well as the back, just like how you would find on the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Hyundai Inster Interior
The interior of the Hyundai Inster looks like a pleasant place to be in. The front seats are rather sofa-like instead of an individual pair of seats, making ingress and egress easier in tight parking spaces. There’s 280 litres of boot space and the back seats are quite spacious for a compact SUV of its size. This is despite the Hyundai Inster being based on an ICE platform and not on a purpose-built EV platform.

You can spot a familiar steering wheel, if you’ve been inside the Hyundai Ioniq 5. There’s the 4-dot Morse code on the wheel, which does look classy. The centre console gets ergonomic buttons instead of the fidgety screens that you get on every other car today.
Hyundai Inster Features and Dimensions
The Hyundai Inster will be offered with plenty of modern features including 64-colour ambient lighting, a single-pane sunroof, two 10.25-inch displays, automatic climate control and a wireless charging pad. The Inster will also be equipped with various ADAS features such as a blind spot view monitor, forward collision avoidance system and lane-keeping assist. Speaking of the wheel options, the Hyundai Inster will get 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, 15-inch alloy wheels and 17-inch alloy wheels.
