Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo Launched At Rs 7.75 Lakh
- 1Hyundai Grand i10 Nios gets dual CNG cylinders
- 2More boot space than before
- 3Costs Rs 7,000 more than single CNG cylinder variants
Soon after launching the Exter Hy-CNG, Hyundai has now introduced the innovative dual-CNG cylinder technology to the Grand i10 Nios. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG price starts from Rs 7.75 lakh and goes up to Rs 8.30 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. The only change made to the Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG is the addition of dual-CNG cylinders in place of a single large cylinder, thereby improving the luggage carrying capacity of the hatchback.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Launched
The earlier Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG incorporated a 60L CNG tank in its boot, occupying nearly all the space and leaving little to no room for luggage space. With the introduction of the CNG Duo technology, the Grand i10 CNG now offers two smaller CNG tanks tucked parallel to the boot, thereby enabling a lot more luggage space for family needs. It is of course not as much as the Grand i10 Nios petrol, but compared to the earlier CNG option, the boot space has been dramatically improved. However, Hyundai has not officially revealed the boot space of the updated Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG.

Like before, the Grand i10 Nios CNG continues with its 1.2L petrol-CNG engine. When running on CNG, the engine produces 69PS of power and 95Nm of torque. Switching to petrol, the power and torque output increase to 83PS and 114Nm respectively. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only whereas the petrol variants of the Grand i10 Nios also offer the option of a 5-speed automated manual transmission. Interestingly, the Grand i10 Nios CNG (with the single CNG cylinder) will continue to remain on sale alongside the new Hy-CNG Duo.
The updated Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo is launched in two variants — Magna that is priced at Rs 7.75 lakh and Sportz that is priced at Rs 8.30 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. Compared to the Grand i10 Nios CNG, the new Hy-CNG Duo tech commands a premium of Rs 7,000. The higher-spec Sportz variant of the Grand i10 Nios CNG offers features such as projector headlights, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, shark fin antenna, roof rails, tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags, touchscreen infotainment system and rear AC vents.
