Hyundai cars sales September 2024 – Sales continue to fall

Similar to the month of August 2024, September 2024 hasn’t been very jolly for Hyundai Motor India Limited as the brand’s sales continued to decline as compared to the numbers from the same period last year. While the cumulative negative growth stood at 11.6% for August 2024, the same for September 2024 came out to be 10.4%. Here’s a detailed report on Hyundai September 2024 sales analysis.

MoM and YoY analysis
Hyundai India saw a marginal 1.6% growth as compared to last month due to an increase of 1,576 units of domestic sales. The exports fell by 550 units but the rise in domestic sales took the overall figure up by 1,026 units. But, comparing the numbers to those of September 2023, the net decline in sales stood at 10.4%, with both domestic sales and exports contributing to the downward trend.

SUVs continue to dominate
It comes as no surprise that a major part of Hyundai’s sales in September 2024 were brought in by SUVs, 70% to be precise. A similar trend was seen in August 2024 as well. Hyundai also launched the new Alcazar SUV in September, updating its lineup of SUVs in India.
CNG sales contributed to 13.8% of sales
Hyundai said that it has recorded the highest-ever monthly contribution of CNG-powered cars in September 2024. CNG sales contributed to 13.8% of Hyundai’s total sales last month with Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG and Hyundai Exter CNG playing a major part. Stay tuned to CARS24 New Cars for latest updates!
