Hyundai Car Sales July 2024 - SUVs Account For 66.6% Of The Brand’s Sales

Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) has just announced its sales numbers for the month of July 2024. Hyundai July 2024 sales stood at a total of 64,563 units, which was a 3.2% decline in sales from the same month last year. Hyundai cars in India include Creta, Venue, Verna, Alcazar, Grand i10 Nios, i20, Aura, Exter, Tucson and the Ioniq 5. 

Hyundai July 2024 Domestic Sales & Exports

Hyundai Motors saw a 3.3% decline in domestic sales for the month of July 2024, selling 49,013 units against 50,701 units in the same month last year. The exports also fell from 16,000 units in July 2023 to 15,550 units in July 2023. This translates to a 2.8% Y-o-Y negative growth.

Hyundai Year-To-Date Sales 2024

Contrary to last month’s trends, Hyundai Motors India Limited registered a 4.3% growth in 2024’s year-to-date sales, compared to the same period last year.  Hyundai sold 4,50,335 cars in 2024 against 4,31,731 units last year. This includes both domestic sales as well as exports.

SUV Boom

SUVs accounted for 66.6% of Hyundai’s domestic sales in the year 2024. The facelifted Hyundai Creta, which was launched in January this year, has already garnered 1 Lakh customers, continuing to be Hyundai’s star performer. The Creta also achieved its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 17,350 units in July 2024, as stated by Hyundai.
