Hyundai car sales 2024 — Hitting new highs

Hyundai car sales 2024 — Yearly report

In the calendar year 2024, Hyundai Motor India sold 6,05,433 units in the domestic market, which is the highest-ever for the brand. As expected, the Hyundai SUV range contributed to 67% of the total sales with the top achiever being the Hyundai Creta, bringing 1,86,919 units sales over the 2024 calendar year. The Hyundai Creta continues to be the best-selling Hyundai model in India and the best-selling SUV  for the most of 2024.

Highest CNG contribution for Hyundai 

The year 2024 also saw the growth of Hyundai CNG models, which achieved their best-ever sales, contributing 13.1% to domestic sales in CY2024. In order to boost CNG acceptance, Hyundai also chose the arrangement of the dual CNG-cylinder, an innovative solution brought by Tata Motors that maximises boot space without taking a toll on the CNG carrying capacity.

Hyundai cars December 2024 sales

Speaking of the Hyundai car sales in December 2024, the South Korean carmaker sold a total of 55,078 units, which combined domestic and export sales of 42,208 units and 12,870 units respectively. Compared to December 2023, the Hyundai car sales in December 2024 dropped by 2.4% (domestic+export).

Achieving highest ever domestic sales three years in a row, reflects customers’ preference for brand Hyundai as their trusted smart mobility solutions provider. Introduction of the innovative Hy-CNG Duo technology in 2024 resonated well with buyers, translating to the highest ever CNG contribution of 13.1% to HMIL’s domestic sales in CY 2024, against 10.4% in CY 2023. By achieving highest ever yearly domestic sales of 1,86,919 units, Hyundai CRETA continued to strengthen HMIL’s position as an SUV leader, helping HMIL accomplish highest ever domestic SUV contribution of 67.6% in CY 2024. We are confident that the upcoming CRETA Electric, will further expand the appeal of this Undisputed, Ultimate SUV.”
