The Honda City is available in four variants – SV, V, VX, and ZX. Recently, the prices of all these variants have seen a hike of Rs 20,000, making the model a bit more expensive for buyers. The City hybrid ZX variant also receives a similar hike of Rs 20,000.

The Honda City price range for the variants with safety reinforcement receives a uniform hike of Rs 20,000. As a result, the Honda City new price range now starts at Rs 12.28 lakh and goes up to Rs 16.55 lakh for the variants with enhanced safety features. Meanwhile, the Honda City Hybrid ZX variant is now priced at Rs 20.75 lakh, up from Rs 20.55 lakh, following the Rs 20,000 price increase. This hike applies to the safety-reinforced City Hybrid variant.

Honda City & City Hybrid engine specs

 

Honda City

 

The Honda City comes equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that delivers 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT (continuously variable transmission). The Honda City mileage with the manual gearbox is claimed to be 17.8 kmpl, while the CVT version offers a claimed efficiency of 18.4 kmpl.

 

The Honda City Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined output of 127PS and 253Nm of torque. It is paired exclusively with an e-CVT gearbox and has a claimed mileage of 26.5 kmpl.
