Honda cars price hike in India

Honda Cars India has announced a price hike across its model range for the year 2025, coming into effect from April. Like in the case of other carmakers, Honda cites rising input costs and operation expenses as reasons behind the announced price hike. The company has shared that it is trying to absorb these rising input costs but a part of it has to be shared with the end consumer to keep the profit margins sustainable. 

"Honda Cars India will revise prices across all models from April 2025, due to rising input costs and operational expenses," stated Kunal Behl, Vice President of marketing and sales at Honda Cars India. He further added, "Despite efforts to absorb these costs, some price revision has become unavoidable and will be passed on to customers."

It is worth noting that Honda Cars India is yet to reveal the percentage that will uniformly or non-uniformly affect the prices of its model range. Currently, the Honda Cars India portfolio includes models like the City, City e:HEV, Amaze and the Elevate. The most recent new car launch was of the Amaze, while old models like the City and Elevate were given special editions to keep up to date with the competition.
