MoM and YoY analysis

While most other carmakers in India saw a falling trend in month-on-month sales, Honda witnessed a 6.4% positive growth. The domestic sales fell for Honda too, but its rising exports pushed it into the green. Year-on-year performance for exports has also been good, but there has been a net decrease due to a major fall in sales.

Honda is going to launch the new-generation Amaze in India tomorrow, which is expected to help the carmaker revive its falling domestic sales. The new Amaze is heavily inspired from the City and the Elevate in terms of styling. It is likely to continue with the same engine as seen on the current generation, and a factory-fitted CNG kit is also expected to be offered, which is currently available as a dealer-level modification.
