Exclusive: Maruti Suzuki Dzire bookings opening on November 4

Earlier this month, we exclusively reported the official launch date for the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Our trustworthy dealer sources have now revealed that the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire bookings will open on November 4, 2024. Read on to know more about the new Maruti Dzire booking amount, segment-first features and powertrain details.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire booking details

As we mentioned earlier, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire bookings will open from November 4, 2024. Prospective buyers will be able to book the new-gen Dzire either online or via the nearest Maruti Arena dealership for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire launch, on the other hand, is slated to take place on November 11, 2024.

New Maruti Dzire segment-first features

It’s uncommon to see a Maruti Suzuki model offering segment first features but the Dzire is going to change that. The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will offer features such as an electric sunroof and 360-degree parking camera, both of which are the segment first features. It is worth mentioning that the Tata Tigor was offered with a sunroof as part of dealer-fitted accessories but that was not part of the standard package. In addition, the new Dzire will also offer features such as automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and rear AC vents.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire engine, gearbox details

The new-gen Dzire will share its 1.2-litre Z-series engine with the new Swift. Replacing the 4-cylinder with the new 3-cylinder engine, the new Dzire will offer enhanced fuel efficiency as well. In the Swift, the new 1.2-litre engine puts out 81PS of power at 5700rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4300rpm. Both the outputs are lower than the outputs of the 1.2-litre K-series engine offered in the ongoing Dzire sedan. The new engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual as well as a 5-speed automated manual transmission. Soon after the launch, we also expect Maruti Suzuki to also add CNG option, which is already offered in the Swift.
