Outline

Maruti Suzuki recently introduced 6 airbags as a standard feature in the Celerio hatchback, making it one of the most affordable cars to offer the surround safety feature. However, our trustworthy dealer sources confirm that the Alto K10 is now set to get 6 airbags as standard across all variants.

Maruti Alto K10 6 airbags coming soon

We expect Maruti Suzuki to introduce 6 airbags to the Alto K10 in the coming weeks. Needless to say, this change will bump up the prices of the Alto K10 across the range. In addition to the inclusion of 6 airbags, the Alto K10 will also receive 3-point seatbelts for all passengers. It is worth mentioning that the Alto K10 already offers electronic stability control as standard across the range along with other mandatory safety features like dual airbags and rear parking sensors to name a few.

With the introduction of 6 airbags and 3-point seatbelts as standard across the range, the Alto K10 price could bump up the price in the range of Rs 15,000 - Rs 30,000, depending on the variant. Apart from these safety features, we do not expect the introduction of any other features to the package to keep the costs in check, since the Alto K10 is among the most affordable cars on sale in the Indian market.
