- 2New warranty on Citroen cars is now 3 years or 1.25 lakh kilometres
- 3Extended warranty is only available on the ICE models of Citroen cars
Citroen India has extended the standard warranty on its cars, offering a 3-year or 1 lakh kilometres warranty, whichever comes first. However, there's a catch – this extended warranty applies only to the ICE models, including the Basalt, Aircross, C3, and C5 Aircross.
The Citroen eC3, the EV model, doesn’t benefit from this extension, as it already comes with a 3-year or 1.25 lakh kilometres warranty. Let's dive into the full details about the Citroen car warranty, including whether it's transferable and other important points buyers need to know.
Citroen Car warranty updated to 3 years or 1 Lakh Km
Earlier, the Citroen car standard warranty was limited to just 2 years or 40,000 kilometres. With the recent changes in policy, the carmaker has made a positive move towards giving a better ownership experience, something that should have been done earlier. The new standard warranty on Citroen cars, now offering 3 years or 1 lakh kilometres, gives the owners more peace of mind.
This warranty covers manufacturing and material defects, complimentary roadside assistance, genuine parts and labour, and contributes to a better resale value. Notably, the Citroen car warranty is transferable to the new owner if the vehicle is sold while still under warranty.
The Citroen eC3 EV model comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1.25 lakh kilometres. Additionally, the battery is covered by a 7-year or 1.4 lakh kilometres warranty, while the motor is protected for 5 years or 1 lakh kilometres.
