Citroen car prices to hike in India — Changes coming soon

For Citroen car buyers, the latest announcement about an upcoming price hike on the brand’s models might not be the best news. Citroen cars are set to become more expensive, with prices increasing by up to 2%. However, these hikes won’t take effect until January 1. Until then, the current prices will remain unchanged.

Citroen car prices set to rise soon — How will this Impact buyers?

Stellantis has attributed this price hike to rising input costs and frequent shifts in exchange rates. On the positive side, since the hike is capped at up to 2%, it’s not expected to cause a drastic jump in the ex-showroom prices, offering some relief to buyers. Additionally, in April 2024, Stellantis raised prices by a modest 0.5%.

Notably, last year, Citroen also announced a price hike around this time, but it was up to 3%. So, compared to last year, this announcement comes with a slightly lower percentage.

Citroen models & prices

Citroen’s model range starts with the entry-level Citroen C3, priced between Rs 6.16 lakh and Rs 10.27 lakh. The Citroen Basalt is priced from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.95 lakh, while the Citroen Aircross falls between Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 14.55 lakh. The eC3, Citroen’s electric model, is priced between Rs 12.76 lakh and Rs 13.56 lakh. The highest premium model in the lineup is the Citroen C5, priced at Rs 39.99 lakh.
