Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV Launched At A Starting Price Of Rs 7.99 Lakh

Citroen India has launched the Basalt Coupe SUV in India, revealing its starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh. The Citroen Basalt price list is expected to be shared soon and the bookings are already open for a token amount of Rs 11,001. The Citroen Basalt deliveries will kickstart from September 2024 onwards. Read on to know more about the Citroen Basalt price, features, engine options and mileage.
Citroen Basalt Launched In India
As we mentioned earlier, the Citroen Basalt price starts from Rs 7.99 lakh ex-showroom, whereas the prices of the remaining variants will be shared later. It is worth mentioning that the Rs 7.99 price is ex-showroom, New Delhi and introductory that will remain valid for deliveries till October 31, 2024. Interested buyers can book the new Citroen Basalt either online or by visiting the nearest Citroen dealership for a token amount of Rs 11,001.

Citroen Basalt Features
With the Basalt, Citroen has upped its image from a carmaker offering a lack-lustre feature set in favour of a low price. The new Citroen Basalt offers features such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital LCD instrument cluster, automatic climate control, front armrest with storage, 3-step underthigh adjustment for rear passengers, electric ORVMs with folding function, rear AC vents and more.
Speaking of Citroen Basalt safety features, the coupe SUV offers features such as 6 airbags, electronic stability program, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and hill hold control as standard across all of its variants, which is particularly impressive given its impressive starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh ex-showroom.
Citroen Basalt Powertrain Options
The Citroen Basalt will come with two powertrain options — a 1.2-litre normal petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine will offer 82PS of power and 113Nm of torque whereas the turbocharged unit will offer 110PS of power and 190Nm of torque with the manual and 205Nm of torque with the automatic.
