The BMW XM exterior sports an elegant and bulky body in which the mainstay is the long and vertically aligned kidney grille, the signature element of the German-based automotive giant. BMW XM’s PHEV powertrain combines a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a 25.7 kWh electric motor delivering a combined output of 653 PS and 800 Nm of torque. Along with an 8-speed M Steptronic sport automatic transmission, the hybrid engine powers all four wheels, enabling the SUV with a top speed of 249 kmph and acceleration from 0-100 kmph within 4.3 seconds. The EV-only mode provides a max range of 88 km at 140 kmph maximum speed.
Notably, the XM is the first ever BMW model to have an integral active steering as a standard feature, As a result, the rear wheels can turn by up to 3 degrees, thereby enhancing the overall handling and turning competence.
