As 2024 comes to a close, BMW India has announced a price hike across its entire model range. The increase will be up to 3%, but it may vary depending on the model. Fortunately, this price hike will only take effect later, not immediately. Keep reading below for more details on this update.

 

When will BMW car price hike be effective?

BMW will implement a price hike of 3% across its models starting from January 1, 2025. Until then, there won’t be any price changes, with the last day of this year being the final opportunity to purchase at current prices.

 

The current BMW lineup includes both locally produced models and those imported into India via the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route. Locally produced models include the BMW X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, 7 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 2 Series Gran Coupe, and 3 Series Long Wheelbase. On the other hand, models like the BMW M8 Competition Coupe, BMW iX, BMW iX1, BMW i4, BMW i5, BMW i7, BMW i7 M70, BMW XM (Hybrid), M5, Z4 M40i, M4 Competition, and M2 Coupe are imported as CBUs.

All-new BMW M5 launched

The all-new BMW M5 has recently been launched in India, and it will be available as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model. Priced at Rs 1.99 crore (ex-showroom), the new M5 keeps its 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, now paired with an electric motor. Together, they produce a combined 737PS of power and 1,000Nm of torque. The car features an 8-speed torque converter transmission and comes with an all-wheel-drive configuration, ensuring a powerful and smooth driving experience.
