Kia Motors, a relatively new player in the Indian automotive market, has been achieving numbers that are making established automakers run for their money. Kia India has been averaging around 20,550 units every month over the past 6 months. While the Sonet has contributed the most to this figure, the Seltos and Carens have also done justice to the brand. The Syros has moved the EV6 out of this list, ranking above the Carnival. Here’s a list of the top best selling Kia cars in India over the past 6 months, including the latest data for January 2025.

Kia Sonet

Kia India’s sub-compact SUV has been the best-seller for the South Korean carmaker, averaging around 8,300 units a month. Available with multiple powertrain options and visual themes, the Kia Sonet caters to a wide audience of car buyers. Key Kia Sonet rivals include Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Syros, and the new Skoda Kylaq.

Kia Seltos

Kia Seltos was the car that introduced Kia to the Indian audience, and has been doing well for the brand ever since. Kia sold 34,524 units of the compact SUV over the past 6 months, making it the second highest selling Kia car in India. For reference, Hyundai Creta sales over the same period stood at 96,743 units, Grand Vitara at 66,396 units, and the MG Astor at 3,902 units.

Kia Carens

Kia Carens stands at a close third in the list of the top selling Kia cars in India. Kia India sold 32,302 Kia Carens over the last six months, averaging at almost 5,400 cars a month. The Kia Carens is a well-sorted package, which goes against the likes of Hyundai Alcazar, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

Kia Syros

Kia India dispatched 5,546 units of the new Kia Syros in January 2025, making it stand at the fourth position in our list of most selling Kia cars in India. The Kia Syros boasts of best-in-class rear seat space along with first-in-segment features such as ventilated, sliding, and reclining rear seats.

Kia Carnival

The Carnival has been pushed to the last spot by the Syros, clocking 892 units of sales. Available in just one trim — Limousine Plus — the new Carnival is already sold out for customers for the next few months. Kia showcased an even more luxurious version of the MPV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 — the Kia Carnival Hi Limousine.
