The Hyundai Palisade is the carmaker’s most-popular SUV, especially in the US market thanks to its gigantic proportions and impressive practicality. The new 2026 Hyundai Palisade brings a slew of updates, making it a lot better SUV in multiple regards than the outgoing model. Refreshed design
Like before, Hyundai has gone big and bold with the design of the new Palisade. Up front, the new Palisade gets distinctive vertically-stacked LED DRLs that sit beside the main LED headlights and the updated radiator grille. Lower down, the bumper gets silver accenting mimicking the look of the DRLs and active air flow shutters for better aero efficiency. Around the side, the Palisade boasts larger proportions in terms of overall length and wheelbase along with new design for the alloy wheels. At the rear, it continues to get vertically-stacked LED tail lights along with a steeply raked rear window for that upright SUV stance.

Modern interior
On the inside, the new Palisade features a refreshed cabin layout along with a long suite of features. The twin connected screens make it to the new 2026 Palisade and sit atop the dashboard. Unlike other modern cars, the Palisade offers proper physical dials and buttons for vital controls like AC and media on the centre console. The lower centre console also hosts practical cubby holes along with a wireless smartphone charger. Coming to its features, it offers relaxation front seats, one-touch second-row tilt and slide, power-folding second row seats, panoramic sunroof, 100W fast-charging type-C ports and a lot more.

New powertrain options
The new Palisade brings in more efficient and powerful powertrain options. The 2026 Palisade offers a hybrid powertrain for the first time, capable of close to 1000km on a single tank. Speaking of its details, the hybrid powertrain incorporates a 2.5-litre petrol engine coupled with two electric motors and a 6-speed automatic transmission, combined to deliver 333PS of power and 446Nm of torque. The new Palisade also offers a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that puts out 290PS of power and 350Nm of torque.
XRT Pro
The 2026 Hyundai Palisade also comes with a new XRT PRO line, which is a more off-road focussed variant of the SUV. The XRT PRO includes more off-road-capable hardware- and software-level enhancements than any previous Hyundai. The XRT PRO even looks the part, thanks to a uniquely muscular front end that incorporates a bold lower grille design bookended by prominent canyon red recovery hooks and a beefier lower fascia. Its key features include an electronic limited-slip differential, additional 25mm ground clearance and improved departure, approach and breakover angles.

Market launch
The new 2026 Hyundai Palisade is all set to go on sale in the US markets in the coming months, followed by the hybrid later this year. Like before, Hyundai has not revealed its plans to bring the Palisade to the Indian market. If that turns out to be a reality, the Palisade will lock its horns with the Audi Q7, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and the upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
