2025 Volvo S90 facelift revealed — Here’s what’s new on the flagship Swedish sedan

Volvo Cars has given its flagship sedan — Volvo S90 — a facelift, and the updated car gets a few exterior tweaks, new tech, and an updated plug-in-hybrid powertrain. This is the second facelift that the sedan has received in its lifecycle. Here’s all that’s new on the 2025 Volvo S90 facelift.

New Volvo S90 design

Following the facelifted XC90 SUV, the S90 sedan gets a new design for the front grille with slanting elements, T-shaped DRLs, reprofiled bumpers, a new set of rear lights that also features the T-shape, and new alloy wheels. The side profile remains largely unchanged and the headlights now intersect the front grille.

2025 Volvo S90 interior and features

The interior of the sedan remains familiar, except for a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen in the centre for infotainment. Volvo also claims the car to get better sound insulation and advanced adaptive suspension as standard. Other key Volvo S90 features include Pilot Assist, a new user interface, a premium sound system, and more. Detailed specifications are yet to be revealed.

Volvo S90 facelift powertrain specs

Exact powertrain specifications of the sedan are yet to be disclosed, but it will be offered in both mild-hybrid and plug-in-hybrid versions. The mild-hybrid setup will come with a four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The PHEV version boasts of improved all-electric range, which now stands at 80 kilometres, up from 74 kilometres on the previous model.

2025 Volvo facelift India launch

It is unlikely that the facelifted sedan will be launched in India. Furthermore, Volvo is unlikely to offer the facelift in the United States and Europe as well. The Volvo S90 will first be available in China, with certain other markets following later.
