2025 Volkswagen Taigun facelift – Top things to expect!

Volkswagen launched the Taigun SUV back in 2021, and it has had a crucial role in keeping the meter running for the German carmaker in India, along with the Virtus sedan. It has been almost four years since its introduction, and a facelift of the SUV is due, and has been confirmed by the carmaker as well. An updated version of the Taigun compact SUV is on the cards and a top executive from the automaker has confirmed the launch of the same. The facelifted Taigun will be loaded with more features that are commonly seen on other cars in the segment. 

Added features

The 2025 Volkswagen Taigun facelift is likely to come with more features such as a panoramic sunroof, a pair of tweeters for the rear passengers, height adjustment for the co-driver’s seat, and 360-degree cameras. The SUV might also get an ADAS suite along with more safety features.

Updated interior and exterior

Apart from the feature updates inside, the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift is expected to get redesigned front and rear bumpers, and a new design for the lights. The interior might also see a refresh in terms of new themes and a new dashboard layout.

Powertrain options

One area where we do not expect any change is the powertrain options. The SUV is likely to retain the current options that include a 1.0-litre TSI engine paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor, and a 1.5-litre TSI engine paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Volkswagen Taigun facelift India launch date
