The ninth generation of the flagship Toyota sedan in India — Toyota Camry — has been launched at a price of Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The updated Camry has received many styling changes, both on the outside as well as the inside. It continues to come equipped with Toyota’s 2.5-litre petrol hybrid system, which has been tuned to put out a maximum combined power of 230PS. Updated design
The new Camry gets a completely redesigned nose with sleeker looks and aggressive headlights. The rear lights get a similar C-shaped treatment, and there are new alloy wheels on the luxury sedan, too. While it does look sharper and more aggressive than the understated design of the outgoing generation, it remains to be a lovely car to look at.

New interior and features
The interior also gets significant updates, with a new dashboard layout and soft leather upholstery for the seats. Notable 2025 Toyota Camry features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, head-up display, 10-way electronically adjustable front seats (both of them), a 9-speaker JBL sound system, three-zone climate control, 9 airbags, reclining rear seats, boot access from inside the cabin, and many more such useful stuff.
New Camry powertrain
The ninth generation Toyota Camry continues to come with Toyota’s robust 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain that has been tuned to put out a combined power of 230PS. It comes paired to an e-CVT. The engine alone has a peak torque output rated at 221Nm, while that of the motor stands at 208Nm. The claimed Toyota Camry mileage stands at an impressive 25.49kmpl.

The new Camry is available in a single trim priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which is just Rs 1.83 lakh more than the previous generation. Its main rival, the Skoda Superb, demands a hefty premium of Rs 6 lakh for the current model (a new one’s about to arrive soon). Other rivals include the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and BMW 3-Series. New Camry colour options include grey, black, blue, red, white, and metallic grey.
