2025 Toyota Camry India debut on December 11 — Launch at Bharat Mobility Expo in January

Toyota India is reportedly launching the new generation of the Camry on December 11, 2024. The Camry has been Toyota’s flagship sedan in the country for decades now, and Toyota has decided to bring the next generation here, too. The launch of the same along with its price announcement shall take place at the Bharat Mobility Show that is scheduled for January 17-22, 2025. Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry is being sold in its ninth generation globally. Yes, the car has quite a long legacy. The new Camry continues to come with a 2.5-litre hybrid setup, though in certain markets, there’s a pure-petrol version available as well. While the saloon does not get a lot of buyers in the country, it plays in a segment that’s comparatively vacant with only the Superb and Lexus ES 300h as its competitors. Toyota is still able to sell a consistent 120-180 units of the Camry every month.

2025 Toyota Camry powertrain

The India-spec Toyota Camry shall retain the 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid powertrain but with an increase in power output. It’s safe to expect the upcoming Camry to be capable of delivering a fuel efficiency of 20+ kmpl, thanks to its strong hybrid system that’s more efficient than before.

New Toyota Camry design

The Camry has always been a pleasant car to look at, and the new one is no different. It gets sleeker headlights with redesigned air intakes at the front. The nose is sharper than before and it looks more enthusiastic than the outgoing model, which gave a rather understated vibe. Props to Toyota for not putting a connected light bar at the rear, which seems to be an overdone trend.

New Camry interior and features

The updated Camry focuses on rear seat comfort with reclinable and ventilated seats. There’s a large touchscreen unit at the centre of the dashboard with physical controls for HVAC just between the screen and the centre AC vents. It also gets a digital driver’s display, wireless smartphone connectivity, a JBL audio system, ADAS suite, and a generously-loaded safety package.

New Toyota Camry India launch details
