2025 Skoda Kodiaq India launch in April — All details inside!

Skoda India showcased the India-bound 2nd-gen Kodiaq SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo 2025. The carmaker has now confirmed the launch timeline of its flagship SUV in the Indian market. The Skoda Kodiaq India launch is set to take place in April 2025 and here is everything you need to know about the latest SUV from the Czech carmaker.

2nd-gen Skoda Kodiaq launch details

The new Skoda Kodiaq has been spotted on test on Indian roads for a while now and the model will be sold in the market as completely knocked down units (CKDs). Unlike the outgoing Kodiaq that’s offered as a CBU and thereby carries a steep price tag, we assume the new Kodiaq to be priced attractively for a fierce rivalry. Reports claim that Skoda will offer the new Kodiaq in two variants — Sportline and L&K.

As the name suggests, the Skoda Kodiaq Sportline will offer sporty design inside and out, with details like blacked out trim elements, sporty alloy wheels, body skirting, sports seats and darkened interior. The Skoda Kodiaq L&K, on the other hand, will offer all the bells and whistles along with a luxurious interior in light shades of upholstery. 

New Skoda Kodiaq features

Speaking of its key features, the new-gen Kodiaq will offer a 13-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dynamic rotary controls for HVAC and seat ventilation, powered front seats with massage and memory functions, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and a fully-digital instrument cluster. 

2025 Skoda Kodiaq powertrain details

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq will retain the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is offered with the current Kodiaq. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine puts out 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive. The same engine also powers a range of other VW group offerings like the Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Tiguan, Audi A4 and Audi Q3.

The first-gen Skoda Kodiaq was offered with the fantastic 2.0-litre TDI engine that's not on offer in the Indian market at this point.
