Skoda India has a number of new car launches planned for us this year, and the first one is just around the corner. The second generation Skoda Kodiaq India launch date has been confirmed, and specifications of this upcoming SUV in India are already out ahead of its price announcement. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq.

New Skoda Kodiaq launch date in India

The new generation Skoda Kodiaq SUV will be launched in India on April 17, 2025, which is about a week’s time from today. The updated Skoda Kodiaq variants will include the Kodiaq Sportline and the Kodiaq L&K, both of which will be offered in a seven-seater configuration.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq engine specs

The second gen Kodiaq comes with a variety of petrol and diesel engine options in global markers, but the India-spec SUV will come with the same 2.0-litre TSI motor that has been tuned to produce 204PS of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque. This turbo-petrol engine will be paired to a 7-speed DSG and Skoda-VW’s 4Motion four-wheel drive system.

Skoda Kodiaq 2025 design and dimensions 

The new Kodiaq follows the ‘Modern Solid’ design language with smoother character lines and a calmer overall flow. The rear has been softened and so has the front. The face features split headlamps and Skoda’s iconic octagonal grille. The rear gets connected lights with ‘SKODA’ lettering in the middle. The new Skoda Kodiaq dimensions are mentioned in the table below.

Skoda Kodiaq interior and features

The interior of the SUV has also been redesigned, with a bigger 13-inch touchscreen at the centre of the dashboard, and three rotary dials, one of which is customisable, just like that on the Superb. Other Skoda Kodiaq features include a 10-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, heated, ventilated, and massage seats, and more.

Expected 2025 Skoda Kodiaq price in India

The updated Kodiaq will be assembled in India, and is expected to be priced northwards of Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom). Key Skoda Kodiaq rivals include Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian.
