MG Motor India took the wraps off the Majestor SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo 2025 and since then, has been hushed about its launch. However, a new media report claims the 2025 MG Majestor launch timeline ahead of its launch in the Indian market. Read on to know top things about the upcoming MG Majestor SUV.

2025 MG Majestor launch timeline 

As per a new media report by Carwale, MG Majestor launch will take place in May 2025. We expect MG dealerships to begin accepting unofficial bookings for the upcoming SUV soon whereas the official booking announcement could be announced at a later date. The new Majestor SUV is yet to be completely revealed, as multiple details about its interior, features and specifications are still under the wraps. Majestor to sit above the Gloster

While there is no clarity about the future of the Gloster SUV, one thing we know for sure is that the new Majestor will sit above the Gloster in the lineup rather than turning out to be its immediate replacement. Currently, the Gloster price ranges between Rs 39.57 lakh and Rs 44.74 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Hence, it is fair to assume that the Majestor will cost more than the Gloster and could start from upwards of Rs 40 lakh ex-showroom.

Bold design

The Majestor looks quite different from the Gloster, and it features a chunky black grille at the front that is accompanied by slim DRLs and vertical headlamps. The rear end gets MORRIS GARAGES badging that sits above the connected lightbar. The silhouette remains identical to the Gloster SUV. It runs on 19-inch machined alloy wheels that are accompanied by side body cladding, further enhancing its butch SUV appeal.

Diesel engine likely

While MG is hushed about its specifications, the Majestor is likely to carry over the same 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine from the Gloster. In addition to the twin-turbo diesel, the Gloster also comes with a single-turbo 2.0-litre diesel engine but it is unlikely to be found in the larger and more premium Majestor, owing to its considerably low power and torque outputs. Furthermore, the Majestor is also likely to come equipped with a capable 4WD option along with terrain modes.
