MG Motor India has updated the Comet EV with the 2025 model year update, following the recently-launched Comet EV Blackstorm edition. The 2025 MG Comet EV brings a few new features, making the lower variants more attractive and also enhancing the overall value package. 2025 MG Comet EV — What’s new?
The 2025 MG Comet EV comes with a feature rejig across the variants, thereby improving the overall value and user experience. The 2025 Comet EV is available in five variants — Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge (FC), Exclusive, and Exclusive FC. The Excite and Excite FC variants of the new 2025 Comet EV offer two new features — reverse parking camera and power-folding side mirrors.

Moving to the Exclusive and Exclusive FC variants, these top-spec variants now offer premium leatherette seat upholstery and four speaker sound system instead of two speakers found in the older model. Apart from these features, the Comet EV continues to offer features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, electronic parking brake, 2-spoke steering wheel with multimedia control, drive modes, power windows and more. It is worth mentioning that the 2025 MG Comet EV price remains the same for the base variant but other variant prices have been revised.

MG Comet EV Blackstorm edition
MG Motor India also recently launched the Comet EV Blackstorm edition—a cosmetic update based on the top-spec Comet EV. It comes finished in Starry Black colour with blacked-out wheel covers featuring red accents. The red accents are carried over throughout the body, and there’s a decent amount of chrome used as well. The all-black theme is replicated on the inside with black leatherette upholstery for the seats along with Blackstorm embossed in red on the headrests. The seats also get red contrasting stitching that goes well with the overall theme.

MG Comet EV specifications
The MG Comet EV is propelled by a rear-mounted motor that has claimed output figures of 42PS and 110Nm, and gets its power from a 17.3kWh battery pack. The claimed range stands at 230 kilometres, while the MG Comet real life range comes out to be in the range of 150-180 kilometres.
