Following the recent announcement from Toyota India, Maruti Suzuki has launched the updated 2025 Grand Vitara, bringing new features, better safety and a new powertrain option. Among all that has been changed, Maruti Suzuki has also introduced a new variant for the hybrid powertrain, making it more accessible than before. 2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara — What’s new
Cosmetically, the 2025 Maruti Grand Vitara remains the same as the outgoing model. However, higher variants now come equipped with a new design for the 17-inch alloy wheels.
2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara safety features
Moving on to the 2025 Maruti Grand Vitara safety features, the SUV now offers 6 airbags as standard whereas automatic variants now come with an electronic parking brake with auto hold function. Like before, the Grand Vitara continues to come with other safety features like surround view camera, electronic stability control, hill-start assist and seatbelt reminders.

- Coming to the features, Maruti Suzuki has introduced a few new features to the updated 2025 Grand Vitara, bringing in more value than the outgoing model.
- Speaking of these new features, the 2025 Grand Vitara offers 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear doors sunshade, tyre pressure monitoring system, ambient lighting, 15W Type-C charging ports, LED reading lights, AQI display and an updated speedometer for enhanced visibility.

2025 Maruti Grand Vitara variants
- Like before, the Maruti Grand Vitara continues to come in four broad variants — Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. However, owing to the emerging demand, Maruti has introduced a new Delta+ variant, that comes exclusively with the strong hybrid powertrain, at Rs 16.99 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.
- In addition, the carmaker has made the panoramic sunroof more accessible, as it is now also available with the Zeta variant equipped with the mild-hybrid petrol engine.
2025 Maruti Grand Vitara engine options
While the 2025 Maruti Grand Vitara continues with the same set of engine options, the low-selling 1.5-litre petrol AWD variant has received a change—a transmission swap. Maruti has replaced the 5-speed manual transmission of the AWD with a 6-speed torquer converter automatic, aligning with the customer demand and preferences. The rest of the powertrain options—which include the 1.5-litre normal petrol, 1.5-litre petrol-CNG and 1.5-litre self-charging hybrid—remain the same as before.

Coming to the price, the base price of the Maruti Grand Vitara has been hiked by Rs 23,000 over the outgoing model whereas the higher variants have seen a price hike of Rs 50,000. Take a look at the 2025 Maruti Grand Vitara price list:
